Privacy policy
Effective October 21, 2026
Eave & Sill is built so your home’s details stay with you. We don’t collect personal data, we don’t have accounts, and there are no ads, analytics or tracking in the app.
What the app stores, and where
Everything you enter — your home’s answers, its schedule, your history, punch list items and any photos or receipts you add — is stored only on your iPhone or iPad. We can’t see it and it isn’t sent to us.
Like other app data, it’s included in your device’s backups (iCloud Backup or a computer backup) according to your device settings.
Your address
When you enter your home’s address, the app sends it to Apple Maps to find your area, so it can time freeze-sensitive jobs and suggest local conditions such as cold winters or earthquake risk. That lookup is handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy. We don’t receive your address.
Photos and receipts
You choose photos with the system photo picker, so the app only sees the photos you pick — not your library. When a photo is saved, it’s resized and its metadata, including where it was taken, is removed. Photos stay on your device.
Notifications
The weekly digest is scheduled on your device. If you allow Background App Refresh, the app may update the digest in the background shortly before it’s delivered. No notification content passes through our servers.
This website
eaveandsill.com doesn’t use cookies or analytics. Like most websites, our hosting provider’s servers keep standard request logs (such as IP address, browser type and the page requested) to operate and secure the site.
Children
Eave & Sill isn’t directed to children and doesn’t knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Your choices
- Change any answer about your home in the app under Properties → Home details.
- Delete a property, or choose Start over, to remove its schedule, history and photos.
- Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll update it here and change the effective date above. If a change affects what leaves your device, we’ll say so in the app before it takes effect.
